LMAb1 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that specifically targets and inhibits insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R). It was developed for use in trastuzumab-resistant ovarian cancer models, particularly targeting cancer cells with upregulated IGF-1R, such as the SKOV3-T cell line. LMAb1 exerts its anti-tumor effect by blocking IGF-1R signaling and downstream PI3K-AKT and MAPK cascade activation, thereby inhibiting cell growth, proliferation, migration, clone formation, and carcinogenic potential. In preclinical studies, LMAb1 demonstrated efficacy both as monotherapy and in combination with trastuzumab, leading to smaller tumor volumes and longer survival time in mouse models of trastuzumab-resistant ovarian cancer[1].
