Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LN003 is an investigational small molecule androgen receptor (AR) antagonist developed by Shanghai Huiyong Pharmaceutical Research Co., Ltd. It is specifically designed for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). As a next-generation AR antagonist, LN003 functions by competitively binding to the androgen receptor, thereby inhibiting the binding of androgens such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. This blockade prevents the nuclear translocation of the receptor and its subsequent binding to DNA, which is a critical driver for the growth and survival of prostate cancer cells. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1/2 clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients who have progressed on standard therapies.
