Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LNA-miR-92a (also known as MRG-110 or S95010) is a locked nucleic acid (LNA)-modified antisense oligonucleotide designed to inhibit microRNA-92a (specifically miR-92a-3p). MicroRNA-92a is a key regulator of endothelial cell function, angiogenesis, and tissue repair, and its upregulation is associated with impaired vascularization, inflammation, and fibrosis. By sequestering mature miR-92a, LNA-miR-92a derepresses its target genes (such as ITGA5, SIRT1, KLF2, and KLF4), thereby promoting angiogenesis, reducing inflammation, and mitigating fibrotic remodeling. It has been investigated for the treatment of ischemic heart disease, heart failure, wound healing, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH/MASLD) with portal hypertension.
