Overview

LNC-IL-17A is an investigational oral small molecule inhibitor of interleukin-17A (IL-17A) being developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, such as psoriasis. Unlike traditional IL-17A therapies which are monoclonal antibodies administered via injection (e.g., secukinumab, ixekizumab), LNC-IL-17A utilizes a proprietary Lipid Nanocrystal (LNC) delivery technology. This platform is designed to encapsulate the active pharmaceutical ingredient within a multi-layered lipid crystal structure, protecting it from degradation in the gastrointestinal tract and facilitating oral bioavailability. By targeting the IL-17A cytokine, the drug aims to disrupt the inflammatory signaling pathways that drive the pathogenesis of various Th17-mediated diseases, offering a potentially more convenient oral alternative to injectable biologics.
