Overview

LNL6 is a replication-deficient retroviral vector derived from the Moloney murine leukemia virus (MoMLV). It is primarily used in clinical gene therapy and gene marking research as a control vector or a vehicle for gene delivery. The vector contains the neomycin phosphotransferase gene (*neoR*), which confers resistance to the antibiotic G418, allowing for the selection and tracking of genetically modified cells in vivo. In clinical trials, LNL6 has been used to transduce various cell types, including CD4+ T-lymphocytes and CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells, to evaluate the safety, feasibility, and long-term persistence of gene transfer in diseases such as HIV/AIDS, follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and various solid tumors like melanoma and renal cancer.
