Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LNO-101 is a transdermal patch formulation of buprenorphine being developed by Linno Pharmaceuticals (also known as Lingnuo Pharmaceuticals) for the management of pain. Buprenorphine is a partial agonist at the mu-opioid receptor and an antagonist at the kappa- and delta-opioid receptors, providing potent analgesia with a potentially lower risk of respiratory depression and abuse compared to full opioid agonists. The LNO-101 patch utilizes a proprietary transdermal drug delivery system designed to provide controlled, sustained release of the medication over several days, which helps maintain stable plasma concentrations and improves patient compliance. As of 2024, LNO-101 is in Phase 1 clinical development in China.
