LNP 1-28 is a preclinical lipid nanoparticle formulation developed by University Health Network to deliver small interfering RNA into acute myeloid leukemia cells and primary acute myeloid leukemia samples. The formulation supports intracellular RNA interference by enabling siRNA delivery and gene silencing; in reported laboratory experiments, LNP1-28 produced luciferase knockdown in AML cell lines and delivered siRNA directed against CD45. Its therapeutic target is payload-dependent rather than intrinsically defined by the nanoparticle formulation.
