LNP-EBOVsaRNA-01 is an investigational lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-formulated self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) vaccine candidate developed by Imperial College London. It is designed to protect against Ebola virus disease by delivering synthetic self-amplifying RNA that encodes the Ebola virus glycoprotein (EBOV-GP). Upon intramuscular administration, the saRNA directs host cells to produce the viral antigen, triggering a robust immune response. LNP-EBOVsaRNA-01 is being evaluated in the EML-Vac study, a first-in-human Phase I clinical trial, both as a single-antigen vaccine and in combination with analogous saRNA vaccines targeting Marburg virus (LNP-MARVsaRNA-01) and Lassa fever virus (LNP-LASSAsaRNA-01).
