Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LNP-LASSAsaRNA-01 is an investigational self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) vaccine candidate designed to prevent Lassa fever. Developed by Imperial College London, the vaccine is delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and targets the glycoprotein of the Lassa virus (LASV). It is being evaluated in the EML-Vac first-in-human Phase I clinical trial alongside companion vaccines targeting Ebola (LNP-EBOVsaRNA-01) and Marburg (LNP-MARVsaRNA-01) viruses. The vaccine is designed to instruct host cells to produce the Lassa virus glycoprotein, thereby stimulating a protective immune response.
