LNP-MARVsaRNA-01 is an investigational self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) vaccine candidate developed by Imperial College London for the prevention of Marburg virus disease. Delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), the vaccine's active pharmaceutical ingredient is an optimised saRNA vector encoding the spike glycoprotein of the Marburg virus (MARV GP), stabilised in a prefusion conformation. It is designed to trigger robust immune responses against the Marburg virus. In the first-in-human Phase I EML-Vac study, LNP-MARVsaRNA-01 is being evaluated both as a single-antigen vaccine and in combination regimens with companion saRNA vaccines targeting Ebola virus (LNP-EBOVsaRNA-01) and Lassa fever (LNP-LASSAsaRNA-01).
