LNS-5310

LNS-5310 is a small molecule P-glycoprotein (P-gp) activator developed by Limerick BioPharma (formerly Limerick NeuroSciences). The drug was designed using a proprietary technology aimed at modulating drug bioavailability to attenuate neurotoxicity. By activating P-gp (ABCB1), an efflux transporter located at the blood-brain barrier, LNS-5310 facilitates the removal of potentially toxic substances from the central nervous system (CNS), thereby improving the safety profile of therapeutics that exhibit dose-limiting CNS side effects. LNS-5310 entered Phase I clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers, but development appears to have ceased following the dissolution of the developer.
