LNV-SERPINE1 inhibitor is an experimental therapeutic platform consisting of engineered cell membrane nanovesicles (LNVs) loaded with inhibitors of SERPINE1 (Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1). This drug is specifically designed to address temozolomide (TMZ) resistance in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The nanovesicles are engineered to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and deliver their payload directly to the tumor microenvironment. By inhibiting SERPINE1, the treatment suppresses GBM cell viability, migration, and invasion, while also downregulating Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) expression to inhibit angiogenesis and tumor progression. This approach aims to overcome the aggressive nature and chemoresistance of GBM through targeted delivery and modulation of pivotal resistance-associated genes.
