Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LO2A** is a preservative-free, unit-dose ophthalmic lubricant formulation developed for dry-eye disease. Its principal therapeutic component is sodium hyaluronate, a viscoelastic, water-retaining polymer that supplements and stabilizes the tear film and provides ocular-surface lubrication; the formulation also contains glycerol and carbomer as excipients. LO2A has been studied in randomized trials for moderate-to-severe conjunctivochalasis and for dry eye associated with Sjögren's syndrome. Resdevco developed and owned the intellectual property, while Wize Pharma and its subsidiary OcuWize licensed and clinically developed/commercialized rights in selected territories.
