Traditional medicinal uses include topical application of leaf and flower paste for eczema and skin diseases, as well as oral or topical use for stomach-ache, difficult urination, scabies, infected eyes, menstruation irregularity, spermatorrhoea, and other ailments. The fruit and leaves are sometimes used to treat sprue, swellings, and boils.
