Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Lodarta** is an oral fixed-dose cardiovascular combination tablet containing losartan 100 mg, amlodipine 5 mg, and rosuvastatin 10 mg or 20 mg. Losartan blocks angiotensin II type 1 receptors to reduce vasoconstriction and aldosterone-mediated blood-pressure effects; amlodipine blocks L-type calcium channels to cause arterial vasodilation; and rosuvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase to lower hepatic cholesterol synthesis and circulating LDL cholesterol. It is used in adult patients requiring combination treatment for hypertension with dyslipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, or elevated cardiovascular risk. The product originated with Hanmi Pharmaceutical and is marketed/manufactured in Mexico by Silanes.
