Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Logusgyn is a gynecological medical device line containing a combination of tindalised (heat-inactivated) probiotic cultures, including Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Streptococcus thermophilus. It is available in formulations such as vaginal ovules and lavage (douches) specifically designed for the treatment of non-specific vulvovaginitis and bacterial vaginosis. The device functions by restoring and maintaining the physiological vaginal microbiota and pH balance. By utilizing tindalised bacteria, Logusgyn provides the benefits of bacterial cell wall components (paraprobiotics) that can modulate local immune responses and inhibit the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms to the vaginal mucosa, offering a therapeutic alternative to live probiotics.
