Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Loki zupa** is a traditional Uyghur herbal decoction used for asthma. It is a two-herb formula prepared from the roots of *Hyssopus cuspidatus* Boriss and *Iris halophila* Pall. Clinical and preclinical studies have evaluated oral Loki zupa as an add-on treatment for asthma; reported experimental effects include reduced airway hyperresponsiveness, airway inflammation, mucus secretion, and type 2-associated inflammatory signaling. Its molecular effects are not established as direct drug-target binding, but animal studies associate activity with downregulation of IL-33/ST2/NF-kappaB/GSK3beta/mTOR signaling, PI3K-Akt/HIF-1alpha signaling, and regulation of glutathione metabolism and ferroptosis-associated processes.
