Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lolium perenne + cynodon dactylon is a combination allergenic extract used in allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT). Developed by Laboratorios Leti, it consists of depigmented and polymerized pollen extracts from Perennial Ryegrass (*Lolium perenne*) and Bermuda Grass (*Cynodon dactylon*). This formulation is designed for sublingual administration to treat patients with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. The depigmentation and polymerization process is intended to reduce the allergenicity (IgE binding) of the extract, thereby improving safety and allowing for higher doses, while maintaining or enhancing its immunogenicity (the ability to induce a protective immune response).
