Overview

Lomvastomig is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Genentech (a subsidiary of Roche) for cancer immunotherapy. It simultaneously targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 3 (TIM-3), functioning as a dual immune checkpoint inhibitor. By blocking both PD-1 and TIM-3 pathways—often co-expressed on tumor-specific T cells—lomvastomig aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses beyond what is achievable with single checkpoint blockade. Clinical development has focused on advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), melanoma, and other solid malignancies[8][10][6].
