Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Long-acting GLP-1 depot is an investigational long-acting subcutaneous microparticle depot formulation of a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, developed by Optimeos Life Sciences using its proprietary Long-acting Inverse NanoCarrier (LINC) platform. The LINC platform utilizes microparticles optimized for the sustained, extracellular delivery of peptides over weeks to months. Designed to exhibit zero-order pharmacokinetics over 30 to 60 days, this depot formulation aims to provide constant GLP-1 exposure, thereby eliminating the high peak plasma levels (Cmax) associated with gastrointestinal side effects. It is being developed for the treatment of obesity and other metabolic diseases.
