Overview

Long-chain inulin phosphate monoester (PFXL) is a modified form of inulin, an oligosaccharide, developed as an additive to improve the quality of functional foods like red kidney bean steamed bread. It has demonstrated antidiabetic properties, including reducing fasting blood glucose and glycated serum protein, and improving oral glucose tolerance and blood lipid levels in diabetic mice. Additionally, it exhibits a protective effect against liver injury. Its application is aimed at modulating postprandial glucose homeostasis and blood lipid levels to reduce the risk of chronic metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes and obesity.
