Longbitong

Longbitong is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Jichuan Pharmaceutical Group. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of urological conditions, specifically type 3 prostatitis (chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The formulation is composed of several herbal ingredients, including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Cistanche deserticola*, *Epimedium brevicornum*, and *Phellodendron amurense*. In TCM theory, it is designed to tonify the kidney, clear heat, and promote blood circulation to resolve stasis. Pharmacologically, Longbitong is believed to exert anti-inflammatory effects, reduce prostatic edema, and modulate the smooth muscle tone of the bladder neck and prostate, thereby improving lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) such as urinary frequency, urgency, and pelvic pain.
