Overview
Longchai Formula (also referred to as Long Chai Fang or LCFG) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Professor Jin Shi of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. It is primarily used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. The formula has been evaluated in randomized controlled clinical trials and shown to improve symptoms associated with chronic hepatitis B, including liver function markers such as ALT and AST. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated but is presumed to involve modulation of immune response and improvement in liver function based on TCM principles[1][2][3].
