Overview
Longjintonglin Capsules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily used for the treatment of chronic prostatitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with damp-heat syndrome. The capsule is composed of several herbal ingredients, including *Gentiana scabra* (Longdan), *Lonicera japonica* (Jinyinhua), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Chishao), and *Hedyotis diffusa* (Baihuaheshecao). Its pharmacological actions are characterized by clearing heat, detoxification, promoting diuresis to treat strangury, and resolving blood stasis to alleviate pain. In clinical practice, it is often evaluated for its ability to improve NIH-CPSI (National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index) scores and urinary flow rates. The drug is approved in China and is manufactured by Yunnan Longrun Pharmaceutical.
