Longqi Jiangzhi decoction

Longqi Jiangzhi decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The decoction is a multi-ingredient formulation consisting of *Gentiana scabra* (5g), *Astragalus membranaceus* (10g), *Rhizoma Alismatis* (10g), *Crataegus pinnatifida* (10g), and *Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium* (5g). It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing hepatic steatosis and improving clinical symptoms in adult patients. The therapeutic effect is likely derived from the synergistic metabolic and hepatoprotective properties of its constituent herbs, which are traditionally used to clear heat, resolve dampness, and invigorate blood.
