Overview
APOHEALTH Diarrhoea Relief Plus is an over-the-counter fixed-dose combination therapy indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhoea and associated gas-related abdominal discomfort, such as bloating, cramping, and flatulence. It combines loperamide hydrochloride, a synthetic opioid receptor agonist that slows intestinal motility and reduces fluid secretion, with simethicone, an antifoaming agent that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, allowing them to coalesce and be expelled more easily. This dual-action formulation provides rapid relief from diarrheal symptoms while simultaneously addressing painful gas and bloating.
