Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Louxiangdan Tongxin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation developed by the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of stable angina pectoris in patients with coronary heart disease, particularly those presenting with the TCM syndrome of phlegm-stasis or Qi deficiency. The formulation is based on the therapeutic principles of invigorating the spleen to eliminate phlegm and activating blood circulation to resolve stasis. It has been evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials (e.g., NCT01843101) aimed at establishing standardized efficacy evaluation indices for TCM in cardiovascular health, often compared against other TCM interventions such as Chixiangshen Tongxin granules.
