Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lovidia is a proprietary, orally administered weight‑management dietary supplement composed of a mixture of ingredients that are individually designated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). It was originally developed by Elcelyx Therapeutics and later advanced by its spin‑out company NaZura BioHealth as a non‑prescription product to help reduce overeating and support weight loss through enhancement of endogenous satiety and glucoregulatory gut hormones.[11][13][15][17] In early studies and company reports, Lovidia has been described as increasing postprandial gut hormone responses approximately twofold, thereby aiming to promote fullness with the same caloric intake and facilitate weight management without being a pharmaceutical drug.[17]
