Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lozivate-3S is a topical combination medication developed by Canixa Life Sciences, containing the potent corticosteroid clobetasol propionate (0.05%) and the keratolytic agent salicylic acid (3%). It is formulated as a lotion and an ointment for the treatment of inflammatory, hyperkeratotic, and scaly skin conditions such as plaque psoriasis, eczema, and chronic dermatitis. Clobetasol propionate acts as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist, reducing inflammation, redness, and itching by inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory mediators. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic agent that softens and descales the outer layer of the skin, promoting the shedding of dead skin cells and enhancing the penetration of clobetasol propionate into the skin.
