LP-08

LP-08 is an investigational drug developed by Lipella Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS). It is a liposome-based formulation composed primarily of sphingomyelin phospholipid, designed for intravesical (bladder) administration. The primary intended effect of LP-08 is to alleviate irritation and pain associated with IC/BPS by delivering protective phospholipids directly to the bladder lining. Although its precise mechanism of action remains undefined, it belongs to the class of phospholipids and sphingolipids. Clinical development reached Phase II trials in the United States before being discontinued.
