Overview

LP-123 is a small molecule antiviral candidate developed by Newave Pharmaceutical for the treatment of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection. It is designed to target the Hepatitis B Virus antigen (HBVAg), aiming to disrupt the viral lifecycle or reduce the burden of viral proteins that contribute to immune evasion in chronic HBV patients. By targeting viral antigens, the drug potentially interferes with the maintenance of chronic infection and may help restore the host's immune response against the virus. As of the current pipeline status, LP-123 is in Phase 1 clinical development.
