Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LP002 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1, also known as CD274). By binding to PD-L1, it blocks the interaction between PD-L1 and its receptor PD-1 on T cells, thereby enhancing T cell-mediated immune responses against tumor cells. This mechanism classifies it as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of various cancers, including small cell lung cancer and gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer. Clinical studies have evaluated its safety in combination with chemotherapy agents such as cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil[2][3]. The primary developer is Lepu Biopharma[3], with Taizhou HoudeAoke Biomedical identified as the originator[3].
