Lp2-CAR-T is a third-generation chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy engineered to target **podoplanin (PDPN)**, a glycoprotein overexpressed in various cancers, notably glioblastoma. This CAR utilizes a cancer-specific monoclonal antibody (CasMab, LpMab-2) for antigen recognition, allowing selective targeting of **PDPN-positive cancer cells** while sparing normal cells expressing PDPN. Lp2-CAR-T cells have demonstrated preclinical efficacy against glioma and glioma stem cells and can be used in combination with the oncolytic virus G47Δ to enhance anti-tumor response.
