Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LPAR1 siRNA-LNP (NBF-008) is an investigational kidney-targeting small interfering RNA (siRNA) lipid nanoparticle (LNP) therapeutic developed by Nitto BioPharma. It is designed to selectively target and knock down the expression of lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1 (LPAR1), a G-protein coupled receptor that plays a critical role in tissue fibrosis and inflammation. By inhibiting LPAR1 expression, the therapeutic aims to attenuate kidney fibrosis and improve renal function. LPAR1 siRNA-LNP is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD), including diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and hypertensive CKD.
