Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LpD64** is a discontinued Valbiotis plant-extract complex, also referred to as LIPIDRIVE, developed as an oral nutritional intervention for overweight and obesity. It was derived from a blend of plants and evaluated in preclinical obesity models and a Phase I/II study in people with obesity. Reported preclinical effects included reduced body-weight gain and fat mass, improved glucose and insulin-related measures, and changes in gut-microbiota composition; however, no defined active constituents or discrete molecular target have been publicly disclosed. Valbiotis discontinued the obesity program in 2020 as part of a pipeline update.
