Overview

LPM3770164 is an investigational small molecule drug that acts as a selective inhibitor of vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2). By inhibiting VMAT2, it reduces the uptake of monoamines (such as dopamine) into synaptic vesicles, thereby modulating neurotransmitter release. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of tardive dyskinesia and Huntington's disease. LPM3770164 was initially developed by Shandong Luye Pharmaceutical and is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for tardive dyskinesia and Phase 1 for Huntington's disease[1][6][7]. It is administered orally in sustained-release tablet form.
