Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**LPPC-Q7-doxorubicin** is an investigational, co-encapsulated lipoplex nanocomplex comprising the 15-amino-acid anticancer peptide Q7 and the anthracycline chemotherapy agent doxorubicin. The Lipo-PEG-PEI complex nanoparticle carrier improves Q7 delivery and stability while providing sustained release of both payloads. In preclinical endometrial-cancer models, Q7 suppresses 24-dehydrocholesterol reductase and associated cholesterol-dependent AKT signaling, reducing proliferation, migration, invasion, exosome-associated signaling, and metastasis markers; doxorubicin contributes DNA damage through topoisomerase II inhibition and DNA intercalation. The combined formulation showed synergistic antitumor activity in HEC-1-A endometrial-cancer cells and mouse xenografts following intravenous administration.
