LPT14E2 is a long-acting injectable (LAI) formulation of lurasidone, an atypical antipsychotic, developed by Guangzhou Diqi Pharmaceutical Technology. Utilizing the company's proprietary Long-acting Platform Technology (LPT), the drug is designed to provide sustained release of lurasidone, thereby improving medication adherence in patients with schizophrenia. Lurasidone exerts its therapeutic effects through a complex pharmacological profile, primarily acting as an antagonist at dopamine D2, serotonin 5-HT2A, and 5-HT7 receptors, while also serving as a partial agonist at the 5-HT1A receptor.
