LPV7 + tetanus peptide is an experimental cancer vaccine combination consisting of a long peptide vaccine (LPV7) and a synthetic helper T-cell epitope derived from the tetanus toxin. This combination is designed to enhance immune responses against melanoma by stimulating both CD8+ and CD4+ T cell responses. The LPV7 component contains multiple minimal epitope peptides (MEPs) targeting melanoma antigens, while the tetanus helper peptide acts as an immunological adjuvant to boost CD4+ T cell activation. In clinical trials, this combination has been administered with various adjuvants such as incomplete Freund's adjuvant (IFA), polyICLC (a TLR3 agonist), and resiquimod (a TLR7/8 agonist). The primary indication under investigation is resected stage II-IV melanoma. Early-phase studies have shown that the vaccine is safe and can induce both cellular and humoral immune responses in a subset of patients[2][3][4].
