LPX-TI641 is a novel, orally bioavailable small molecule immunomodulator in clinical development for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. It acts as an agonist of T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 3 receptor (TIM3) and T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 4 receptor (TIM4), expanding regulatory T cells (T-regs) and B cells (B-regs), while downregulating pathogenic Th17 cells. This mechanism aims to restore immune tolerance without broadly suppressing immunity or causing neutropenia or lymphocytopenia. LPX-TI641 is being developed by LAPIX Therapeutics for indications including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and potentially other autoimmune conditions[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
