Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LQ083 is an orally administered VHH nanobody (single-domain antibody) targeting Tumor Necrosis Factor-like Ligand 1A (TL1A), developed by Novamab for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). TL1A is a member of the TNF superfamily that plays a key role in modulating inflammation and fibrosis by binding to its receptor, DR3. By neutralizing TL1A, LQ083 aims to reduce the mucosal inflammation and tissue remodeling associated with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The oral formulation is designed to provide local action within the gastrointestinal tract, potentially improving efficacy and safety compared to systemic biologics.
