Overview

**LQT-1213 + dofetilide** is an experimental drug combination studied in the context of *acquired Long QT Syndrome (LQTS)* induced by dofetilide in healthy volunteers, as part of a proof-of-concept clinical trial. LQT-1213 is a potent and selective inhibitor of *serum glucocorticoid inducible kinase 1 (SGK1)*, being developed for the treatment of congenital and acquired LQTS. In clinical studies, LQT-1213 has demonstrated statistically and clinically significant reductions in dofetilide-induced QTc prolongation, indicating its potential as a therapy for patients at risk of arrhythmias due to prolonged QT intervals. Dofetilide itself is a class III antiarrhythmic small molecule drug that can induce QT prolongation as both a clinical risk and a tool for modeling the disease in trials. LQT-1213 is under clinical development by Thryv Therapeutics and has received Orphan Drug Designation for the treatment of congenital LQTS[1][3][5][6].
