LR19018

LR19018 is a small molecule agonist of the **Free fatty acid receptor 4** (FFAR4), also known as **GPR120**, currently under development by **LG Chem** for the treatment of **non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)**. GPR120 is a G protein-coupled receptor that serves as a sensor for long-chain fatty acids and is primarily expressed in mature adipocytes, macrophages, and the intestinal tract. Activation of GPR120 exerts potent anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the NF-κB pathway and enhances insulin sensitivity. In the context of NASH, LR19018 is designed to mitigate hepatic steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development and represents one of several metabolic disease candidates in LG Chem's pipeline, alongside other leads targeting DGAT2 and GPR120.
