LRX712 is an investigational small molecule Wnt pathway inhibitor developed by Novartis for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The drug is designed for intra-articular administration to promote the regeneration of articular cartilage and restore structural integrity in patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis. By inhibiting overactive Wnt signaling, which is associated with cartilage degradation and inflammation in osteoarthritic joints, LRX712 aims to stimulate chondrogenesis and provide a disease-modifying effect.
