Overview

LS-1-10 is a novel small-molecule acridine derivative designed as an autophagy inhibitor and anticancer agent. Synthesized based on an acridine skeleton with modifications inspired by the structure of chloroquine, LS-1-10 inhibits autophagic-mediated degradation and induces DNA damage. These actions trigger caspase 8-mediated apoptosis, particularly in colon cancer cells. Preclinical studies indicate that LS-1-10 is more effective at reducing cancer cell viability than conventional agents like chloroquine and amsacrine, showing significant activity in both in vitro assays and in vivo xenograft models.
