Overview
LS-LBP-003 is a preclinical-stage live biotherapeutic product (LBP) being developed by Shanghai Lishan Biopharmaceutical for the prevention and mitigation of methotrexate-associated adverse reactions (MTX-AR), such as intestinal damage and myelosuppression, in chemotherapy patients. Identified through metagenomic sequencing of clinical samples, LS-LBP-003 consists of the differential bacterial strain DX-M01, which distinguishes between MTX-AR response and remission groups. The therapy aims to modulate the gastrointestinal microbiome to restore intestinal homeostasis and alleviate chemotherapy-induced toxicity.
