Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LS-LBP-004 is a preclinical-stage synbiotic live biotherapeutic product (LBP) being developed by Shanghai Lishan Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The therapeutic candidate is a fixed-dose combination of the prebiotic 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL) and the probiotic bacterium *Bifidobacterium animalis*. LS-LBP-004 is designed to target the gut-brain axis by modulating the gut microbiota, specifically by inhibiting the growth of harmful gut bacteria and reducing the production of neuro-damaging metabolites. Shanghai Lishan Biopharmaceutical plans to advance the program by filing a technical route application under China's Decree No. 818.
