Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LS-SM-001 is a preclinical-stage small molecule agonist of the pregnane X receptor (PXR), developed by Shanghai Lishan Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). The compound was identified using a microbial mimetic platform to optimize efficacy and minimize toxicity. LS-SM-001 is formulated using lipid nanoparticle (LNP) drug delivery technology to enable precise, stable release and long-term relief of intestinal inflammation. Activation of PXR by LS-SM-001 inhibits the NF-κB pathway, regulates the expression of inflammation-related genes, and helps restore intestinal homeostasis.
