Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LSAM-PARPs is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by NanOlogy for the treatment of solid tumors. It utilizes NanOlogy's proprietary Large Surface Area Microparticle (LSAM) technology to deliver PARP (Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase) inhibitors via intratumoral injection. The LSAM platform creates stable, pure drug microparticles with a high surface area, allowing for a sustained-release sterile suspension that maintains high local concentrations of the drug within the tumor microenvironment while minimizing systemic exposure and toxicity. By inhibiting PARP, the drug prevents the repair of single-strand DNA breaks, leading to double-strand breaks and subsequent cell death, particularly in tumors with existing DNA repair deficiencies.
