Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LSC Exosome Eye Injection is an exosome-based biologic therapy being developed by YD Bio in collaboration with 3D Global Biotech. The therapeutic consists of exosomes derived from limbal stem cells (LSCs), which are administered via intravitreal injection to treat inflammatory ocular conditions, including retinal and macular disorders such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The mechanism of action involves the delivery of bioactive molecules contained within the LSC-derived exosomes to the posterior segment of the eye to reduce ocular inflammation and promote tissue repair. As of early 2026, the program is in the preclinical stage; the developer has completed Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) development and filed Drug Master Files (DMFs) with the U.S. FDA for the LSC platform and its derived products.
